4 out of 5 eggsworking great

Pros: easy to set up. working great with ubuntu 10.04, using as a home server and working great. using to run LAMP and other home projects and delivers just fine. running with 3G Ram.

Cons: not much negative to say

Other Thoughts: great product for price and still working fine

4 out of 5 eggscool little one

Pros: it runs really cool and so far no glitch. makes a very good mobo for my NAS. with an inexpensive case, a couple of 1TB HDD and a USB drive to run OpenFilter, i'm really happy with this quiet but powerful NAS just a little above $200.

Cons: only 2 SATA ports. also it doesnt seem to have HW RAID.

Other Thoughts: my first ITX. i was surprised at how small the board was. very nice.

5 out of 5 eggscool and quiet

Pros: cool quiet and does ok for what it is make sure the case you put it in has breathing room and use a fan or two to help with the cooling although the board doesnt get that hot it will get dusty after a period of time and dust causes heating up.

Cons: cannot be used in excess of windows 7 starter 32 bit and will not handle 64 bit os with any kind of speed

Other Thoughts: does a good job for what it is and works well with ubuntu

5 out of 5 eggsA perfect little board.

Pros: Simple and straightforward design. Low power consumption is only icing on the cake.

Cons: None I can think of right now. A mini PCI Express slot would have been a neat treat, but other than that, none.

Other Thoughts: I replaced my younger stepbrother's ancient desktop with parts laying around the house combined with this board.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: These Intel single board NM10 units work very well with Linux (Ubuntu version 10). The Ubuntu distribution had all of the drivers I required to get the working very well.

Cons: I have purchased four of these units over the past year, and one of them failed to operate. However, Newegg was quick to make good on it. Another is on its way.

3 out of 5 eggsOK for the money

Pros: low price, no fan, low heat output, BIOS update is easy, drivers & support available at Intel website. nice road-map poster with board to show connectors & pin-outs. runs XP OK once you get BIOS and driver updates.

Cons: no serial DB9 conn. - only headers and no cable/adapters.
(make sure you get the correct adapter cable - there are 2 standards for serial port headers)
no parallel port and no IDE port if you need them.
serial ports mislabeled on board according to XP.
driver CD and BIOS were way out of date - had to update all since CD would not even install drivers. normal install time for me is 1-2 hours; this board took 4 hours.

Other Thoughts: serial port headers appear to be mislabeled - XP thinks COM1 is actually on COM2 header and vice versa. XP assigned odd port addr and IRQ's as if the ports were COM3 and COM4 but called them COM1 and COM2 everywhere. Hyperterminal would always crash until I changed port addr and IRQ to "normal" settings (3F8,IRQ4). Not sure if XP is confused or board is wrong.

3 out of 5 eggsPriced well for what you get

Pros: Price and features. Was looking for simple media computer. So this board fulfilled a CPU/GPU/Sound/board combo. Everything still works fine with no major failures.

Cons: This comp is a media center, nothing more. Moderate issues with .MKV movie. CPU/GPU cannot keep up. Task manager is pegged. Also struggles with high def avi too. My old 1.4 GHZ AMD athlon chip did fine. Not sure whats up. Fully uped bios, drivers and spent hours on msg board with no solutions. Would probably have not purchased knowing this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for the price.

Pros: Price and functionality. This little thing is fairly snappy with the two extra gigs of ram I had laying around. It takes up no room and is perfect for experimenting with like a workbench computer. Great for the kids at only $60 for board basic graphics built in and processor you can't beat it. I paid more for some PS3 games than the price of this board!

Cons: DDR2 is getting expensive again, good thing I had some laying around...

Board gets hot kinda fast...This board rellys on space or fans to disperse the heat, so get some fans... I put in two 90mm fans. Works Great!!!

Other Thoughts: This case was perfect for this board and it was at just the right price. $40 APEX MI-008 Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower & power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsGood board.

Pros: Intel boards are good for the small business or Home workers, who want to build a server at home.

Cons: 4G memory support is too small.

Other Thoughts: I used it as a email system for my customer. It performs very good. The only thing I concern is the memory limitation. 4GB is too small. 8GB will be better.
