3 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse, but not for me

Pros: Lightweight, fast, full of features.

Cons: The docking station acts as the wireless transmitter, so if you use this with a gaming laptop, you get to either use it in wired mode or carry around the docking station. Too bad it doesn't have something similar to Logitech's nano receiver.

Other Thoughts: It seems all of Razor's gaming mice use a docking station as the RF receiver. I like this mouse, but will need to get a Logitech instead.

4 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Great selection of colors. Very precise. The battery seem to last a good while before it needs recharging.

Cons: Occasionally it will lose connection for a second or two. Often at the worst possible times when I'm playing a game. I've had to switch back to my old mouse because my cats chewed the wire. And I can't find anywhere that sells a replacement.

3 out of 5 eggsok mouse

Pros: I like the mouse so far. No real big problems with it and its a very good mouse for gaming. I use it for BF4 and Wildstar and have no problems with either so far. The UI is pretty easy to understand.

Cons: I gave it 3 stars because the battery life seems to a bit short and at times while using it as wireless its laggy or seems to loose signal for short time frames.

Other Thoughts: For the first few weeks of using it I got wrist strain because its heavier then the one I replaced. But I think that's prob just a me issue and not mouse. I also wish that the Razer logo would light up, and not just the mouse wheel. I also wish I could change it from a clicky mouse wheel to a free rolling one.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Happy with my Mamba

Pros: The mouse just fits your hand right, its contours are so nice! It's also long which is nice for a guy with big hands!

The charger is actually a very nice little charging stand that lights up and can change color.

The buttons are very nice, but the DPI buttons are much to easy to depress. Much much too easy.

The mouse just a solid aesthetically pleasing mouse for gamers.

Cons: The battery life is pretty atrocious. I can play for 4-6 hours before it goes dead which isn't too bad but if you leave it off in standby mode overnight and try to play anything with it the next day it will be dead within an hour. My Orochi, which runs off of 2 AA, has no issue with battery life and can easily last 4-5 6 hour gaming sessions with 8-12 hours of standby in between the sessions. Something is wrong with this tiny battery.

The top buttons can also be extremely easy to click, I had a Deathadder 2013 before this and thought the buttons on it were easy to click but they don't hold a candle falme to how easy these are to click.

The mouse is also extremely lightweight, I would have preferred with a way to adjust the weight similar to what some Logitech mice come with for this price.

The mouse can also be a HUGE pain to even get on the charger occasionally but that is not a big issue at all.

Other Thoughts: I really like this mouse, it is a great gaming mouse and is also WIRELESS AND RECHARGEABLE which is almost unheard of with this feature set. It is just an overall great mouse with a good design and fits my needs perfectly.

That being said the price is just too high for this mouse.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall, Very pleased

Pros: -Comfortable
-Back/Forth buttons are easy to reach but haven't clicked them accidentally
-DPI buttons are located so no accidental clicks happen also
-Glides smooth
-Scrolls smooth
-Lights can change to any colour
-Good battery life

Cons: -Very rarely (but on more than a couple occasions) it has become totally unresponsive. I turn it off and back on and it works again. Not sure what causes this but i think it might be due to the auto calibration on my BLACK razer sphex mouspad. (which most of the time is awesome
-More difficult to plug in for wired mode than necessary (awkwardly shaped plug DOES make it feel stable and I'm never worried about the cord just falling out though)
-When switching from wired mode to wireless or even just turning the mouse off with the switch on the bottom, its sort of difficult to hold without pressing the buttons by accident. Not too difficult or anything, just something you have to think about instead of just picking it up.

Other Thoughts: Super happy with the mouse. This is my first "nice" mouse that I have bought and I really do like it a lot, however when it dies (which I'm not anticipating any time soon) I will probably not buy this same one again due to the awkward usb plug and the random yet infrequent times it stopd working.

1 out of 5 eggsNOT WORTH THE MONEY

Pros: An OK selection of colors which most aren't even very illuminated

Cons: Cons, you mean other than being a cheaply made over priced GARBAGE? This mouse is as much of a joke as the company itself. Poor customer service, sending me refurbished mice for an RMA'd brand new mouse(literally taken out of the box one time). Not to mention the replacement was just as defective as the original. Starting with the mouse wheel, which rubs when the right click is depressed (on EVERY SINGLE Mamba I've ever had, which would be 4). The side padding WILL come un-glued and fall off within a very short time. It will stop tracking momentarily sometimes. On that topic, if you get any dust or hair under the mouse on a smooth surface mouse pad (like the IRONCLAD which is a whole other type of Razer junk), good luck moving the mouse. Same goes for sweat or condensation from your hand. The battery life is awful as-well.

Other Thoughts: Did I mention RMA'ing a brand new mouse, and getting a refurbished one in return? I paid over 120$ for a refurbished mouse. Hmm, Goodbye Razer.

4 out of 5 eggsRIP 2011-2014

Pros: +Sleek design and ergonomics
+On the fly dpi adjusting makes settling into different monitors at lan events/tournaments amazingly easy. Set the middle setting to your main machine and the others in small increments 100-200 dpi apart and you can slide comfortably into any machine.
+Custom Colors
+Wireless to Wired

Cons: -Needs firmware and driver updates to fix bugs
-Even after updates I needed to reduce the poll rate from 1000hz to 500. This did however stop all issues I had.
-My laser died after 2 years 5 months of use, 5 months out of warranty :(

Other Thoughts: I got this mouse in 2011 so it does not have the synapse 2.0 stuff. I'm not even sure if the current ones that are 2.0 enabled have internal flash memory. I absolutely loved my Mamba and am considering getting a new one to replace it if I can confirm that I don't have to rely on this silly cloud nonsense and that these newer model 2012s are at least as reliable as the original 2012.

That said, they are buggy out of the box from what I can remember and need driver/firmware updates and poll rates lowered to fix stability issues, but I had no other problems with mine. That said, mine was one of the initial 2012's so some of the newer issues with battery and synapse 2.0 may not apply.

2 out of 5 eggsA Wireless Nightmare!

Pros: -Beautifully packaged
-Feels great in the hand
-Aesthetics are pleasing to the eye
-Customize LED colors
-Easily change DPI on the fly
-Feels smooth while gaming
-Switch from wireless to USB fairly easily
-Docking station is great looking

Cons: This is where the disaster begins. While I was first elated with my mouse I quickly became extremely displeased with the various problems that have occurred:

-The wireless sporadically works.
-The mouse randomly locks up while wireless. Turning it off and on does NOT help. I must plug it into USB.
-The software says my mouse had 100% battery but in fact the mouse was dead.
-Synapes software 2.0 is slow and very well could be causing several of my problems.
-When switch from USB to wireless or vice versa it is NOT seamless. Often takes 10 seconds or more before you can start using the mouse again.
-There has been several times when the mouse locks up that requires a complete system reboot.

Other Thoughts: I've been in touch with Razer support. So far they have only offered the "update your firmware" advice, which I had already done. If you do a quick Google search you will see this is an extremely common problem. I took a chance with this mouse as someone I talked to really enjoyed theirs without any problems. Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky.

At this time I would NOT recommend buying this product. Complete waste of $130. If Razer is able to fix my problem or replace my product with a functioning mouse I will update my review. Good luck to those who decide to purchase this mouse.
